Sculptra®

Sculptra is a unique injectable treatment that restores facial volume and promotes long-term collagen production. Unlike traditional fillers, which provide immediate volume, Sculptra works gradually over several months as it stimulates your body’s natural collagen production, leading to a more subtle, youthful appearance. It's particularly effective for addressing volume loss in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and jawline, resulting in smoother, firmer skin that lasts up to two years.

  • Those showing signs of sagging and damaged skin
  • Anyone seeking gradual, natural and long lasting enhancements.
  • It also prevents jowling in later years.

FAQ's

Dermal fillers
  • What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are smooth injectable gels made from synthesised hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring clear, gel-like substance found in our skin. Dermal fillers are injected under your skin to replenish lost volume and hydration, diminishing the depth of wrinkles and improving facial contours. Sublime uses a range of fillers made of both thinner gels which are great for filling fine wrinkles as well as thicker gels for re-sculpting facial contours and restoring lost volume in areas such as the cheeks.

  • What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a natural gooey gel-like carbohydrate present in every tissue of the body and provides support, hydration, and promotes collagen formation. It is found abundantly in youthful skin however, declines with age which contributes to volume loss, development of fine lines and wrinkles, dehydrated skin, and an overall dullness in facial appearance. By restoring lost volume, re-sculpting facial contours, and enhancing lip volume and definition with HA fillers we can help to restore a more youthful appearance with improved skin texture and hydration (HA holds 1000x it’s own weight in water!)

If lines and wrinkles high up on the cheekbone are caused by the lower fibres of the muscle around the eye (Orbicularis oculi) they are considered to be crow’s feet and can be improved with anti-wrinkle injections. If they are caused by the cheekbone muscle (Zygomaticus), they do not respond well to anti-wrinkle injections and trying to treat them can result in an uneven smile. If related to underlying volume loss, then dermal fillers will improve these lines.
