Sagging Skin

Skin that has lost its spring isn’t the result of just one cause. Several factors are likely responsible for making your once supple skin appear tired and droopy.

The most common cause of sagging skin is aging. As you age, your skin loses the collagen and elastin, your skin’s supportive connective tissue, that make it look soft, plump and youthful. In addition, facial muscles can weaken with age, which takes a toll too.

Sun exposure is another reason for skin losing its elasticity. The sun’s powerful rays damage skin cells which, over time, this can increase the effects of aging.

Dermal Fillers are an injectable treatment that works by plumping up the skin and make it firmer and smoothing out lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. It assists in adding volume to the areas of the face that has lost volume due to age or genetics. Results can last between six to twelve months. Some patients may experience temporary redness or bruising at the site of injection, but these symptoms are not painful and pass quickly.

The top and middle layers tend to provide the look your skin gives. The dulling of your skin often coincides with imperfections and damage that reside within the epidermis and dermis layers. Skin Needling utilizes fine needles to penetrate these layers of the skin. This leaves the top layer of your skin, the epidermis, intact while fostering the growth of new collagen and elastin. Your skin becomes more radiant and healthy looking.

Skin boosters are used to plump and soften the look and feel of the skin by restoring the skins hydrobalance. It improves the elasticity and skin structure and treats crepey skin and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles.
