Poly-L-Lactic-Acid Biostimulator
Sculptra
Sculptra works by stimulating the body's own collagen production, which helps to plump up the skin and give it a more youthful appearance. The treatment typically involves a series of injections, and the results can last for up to two years.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is made from poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic material that is biocompatible and biodegradable. It is injected into the deep dermis, or the layer of skin beneath the surface, using a fine needle. Sculptra is most commonly used to add volume to the cheeks, temples, and jawline. As collagen production is stimulated , the skin starts to regain its firmness.
Sculptra renews the skin by
- smoothing wrinkles
- restoring volume
- improving skin quality, with increased skin thickness and reduced skin laxity
- improving the appearance of scars
One of the main advantages of Sculptra is its longevity. The effects of Sculptra can last up to 2 years, much longer than traditional fillers which usually last for about 6-12 months. The results of Sculptra are not immediate, with the full effects taking several months to be seen.
Who Can Benefit From Sculptra?
Sculptra can benefit people who are looking to add volume to their face and improve the overall appearance of their skin. Sculptra is commonly used to treat areas such as the cheeks, temples, and jawline, but it can also be used to treat wrinkles on other parts of the face. It is typically used on people who have lost volume due to aging, but it can also be used on people who have naturally thin or gaunt-looking faces.
- Patients in their 30s-60s
- Patients with mild to moderate collagen loss
- Patients with mild to moderate skin laxity
- Patients showing signs of sagging and damaged skin
- Patients looking for gradual, natural and long-lasting results
